Pam has practiced employment law in Minnesota for more than 3 decades. Primarily representing small and medium-sized privately held or family-owned businesses and non-profits, she assists them in taking smart prevention steps to avoid or resolve employee disputes. Pam assists employers with employee medical matters, including ADA, FMLA and workers’ compensation issues; employee discipline and termination; drafting and interpretation of policy and procedure manuals; manager and employee training in all employment law areas; drafting, interpretation and enforcement of employee agreements, including employment, non-compete, and separation agreements; wage and hour issues, including employee classification issues and development of compensation systems; and investigation and resolution of employee complaints of discrimination. Pam is a frequent lecturer to managers and attorneys on varied employment law topics, and was an adjunct professor of employment law at Hamline University School of Law for 2 academic years. She also taught “Employment Law for Nonprofit Managers” in the Center for Nonprofit Management at the University of St. Thomas for 15 years.
